John doesn’t want anything loud. Whenever his Dad plays a little bit of a loud music in the house and inside the car, this little boy covers his ears and screams , ” TOO LOUD!! TOO LOUD!!!”.
When his toys go off like his HANDY MANNY toolbox which plays the Handy Manny song, he instantly covers his ears and wait for the song to finish before he uncovers his ears.
I hope when he grows up, he will stay the same so I will have some peace in the house. If I hear him play loud music ever, he’ll be hearing something from me.

Today like any other Saturday, John is with me while his Dad went fishing. All day, this little imp kept on messing with his toys, screamed at me when I took a bite of his Snickers chocolate bar, ran when I wanted him to use the potty chair, and I just got fed up so every time he misbehaves, I threatened him that I will give him to Ms. Bridget at the daycare where he goes on weekdays.
When he pooed in his underwear, I told him that next time he poos in his undie, I will give him to Ms. Bridget when suddenly he told me something that stopped me in my tracks, ” you keep saying that to me all day! ” .
“What did I say all day? ” , I pretended to ask.
” That one, about Ms. Bridget!”
Ackkk! I wanted to laugh so much but I did not, this little imp is getting smarter. Of course, like any other Mom, we rant and say something over and over again. I just didn’t realize that he can notice it so soon at his age, he’s only three.

One time, we went to a friend’s house and had lunch with her. John ate a lot . After lunch, my friend showed us around her house that she was leaving for the house next door.
While we were in one of the rooms, while I was talking to my friend, I suddenly heard a loud ” TOOOOOOOT!!!”. The fart was so loud that I began to think, “was that me???” but when I looked down at John, John had this naughty twinkle in his eyes and this big smile on his face.
Me and my friend burst out laughing, we didn’t need to ask. I guess the smile says it all .

This little boy is such a farter.
When he was just about two, his Dad the big farter in the house, told him, ” Listen John, listen..” and the Dad let out a big deafening fart. Not to be beaten, John who was in bed that time, positioned himself, like he’s about to do push ups, with his butt up, and with a mischievous smile, let out a fart too. The three of us burst out laughing and all said, ” Yuck!!! “. I don’t know how he does it but he already knows how to let one out when he wants to even at two years old.
There are so many times, I can’t keep track of it anymore that he farted, really loud. Everytime he does, he’d turn to us, and smile. When he smiles, I know immediately it was him, and not the father. It’s a good thing that it comes out with a sound only, and is not scented. I’d be dead if that happens.

This happened several months ago, when John just turned three.
Our apartment has only one bedroom and when this little guy, John, has a lot of mess, toys and books and markers and papers lying in our living room, to make the living room tidy and neat, well I dump them all in that one bedroom so I don’t have to see the mess. In that bedroom too was the permanent fixture of the clothes hamper of newly laundered clothes that needs some ironing and folding plus three thick blankets that are sometimes left as is from the night before. In other words, that bedroom is like a quasi-jungle with all those mess.
So one time I was feeling lazy and was just sitting on the edge of the bed looking around the mess when John stood in front of me and told me, ” Uhm, Mommy ? Can you change the room please?? “.
” Change? What change ? I can’t change it, sorry” , I told John.
I saw him looking down at his hands on my lap, lost in his thoughts for 3 seconds, and then suddenly, he looked up at me bright-eyed and blurted out , “Can you clean it please??! “
And I thought kids have no idea of what’s clean.

I jokingly asked John if I am pretty and this is what he said, ” Yes Mom you’re pretty…… a little bit! ”
Whaat???!
C’mon now. Where’s the love John? I thought we’re best friends?
